Chicken Fesenjan

First, pour the minced walnut along with the grated onion and 3 cups of water inside the pot and put on intense heat until it boils.

After boiling for about 5 minutes, add the tomato paste and close the lid and allow the walnuts to cook for 20 minutes along with the tomato paste. Meanwhile, pour some oil inside a pan and fry the chicken pieces on medium heat. To take away the bad smell add some turmeric to the chicken.

When the frying is done, put them aside. Go to the cooking walnuts and stir them nicely and after 20 minutes, add the pomegranate molasses along with some salt, pepper, lime juice, and also sugar and stir them until they are completely mixed.

At this point, if you think that the stew is too thick, pour some cold or ice water in it.

Allow the stew to cook for half an hour more, so the ingredients that are added boil with the rest of the ingredients. Then put the chicken inside the stew and taste it and if it needed anything, add that substance and wait till it is cooked nicely.

Now, the stew is ready to serve with some steamed white rice. Enjoy!
