Khoresh Havij / Carrot Stew
Carrot Stew is not necessarily a sweet stew. If you like sour stews, prepare it sour or sweet-and-sour. This meal along with steamed rice is enough for 6 to 8 people and is ready to serve after about 1 hour and 40 minutes.
To prepare this dish put a pot on the heat and pour some oil in it and sauté the beef along with previously sauteed onions. After the beef changed color, add 2 to 3 glasses of water to it and let it cook for a while.
Meanwhile, wash the carrots, peel them and slice them nicely. Then sauté them in a small amount of oil. Add the plums along with sauteed carrots to the pot and let them cook together.
And finally, after the stew is ready, add some saffron with some sugar and salt to it.
