One and a Half Day Deh Namak Astronomy Tour
Scheduled for the second half of the year
Our vehicle departs at 9 AM from Tehran toward Deh Namak, on the way we will visit the Dragon wrinkles and visit one of Garmsar’s salt mines. After lunch and a short rest, we will have a 1-hour educational astronomy workshop. Later we watch the sunset and while the sky is getting dark we learn about the constellations and the myths related to them. Then we use the 16-inch telescope of the caravanserai and observe shiny objects or masses in the night sky by that telescope or binoculars. At 21:00 O’clock the observation finishes. Later we spend half an hour discussing astronomy and get ready to go to sleep. On the next morning, we will return to Tehran after having breakfast.
